Comox 2024 Success!

Comox Valley Rapids Rugby finished a fantastic day of rugby on Dec 8 as they claimed both the U16 and U18 Girls Provincial Championships at Starlight Stadium.

The U16 team produced a fantastic performance to stun their mainland rivals Abbotsford. Building on a 14-7 half-time lead they scored a flurry of 2nd half tries to finish an intense and thrilling final with a 29-7 final score.

 

The U18 team followed with a down to the wire, tenacious performance. Abbotsford took a two try lead by the half but Rapids showed determination in their second half comeback with 2 tries and a conversion to win it in the final minutes of the game.

Thank you for the fans who braved the chilly weather, to Abbotsford for  being a formidable opponent and to BC Rugby for a great day!
